Following a comprehensive strategy process, the traditional South Tyrolean family business Loacker has fundamentally realigned its sustainability strategy. With a clear focus on ecological, social and economic responsibility, the entire value chain was analyzed in order to systematically drive forward the company’s sustainable development. As part of this process, strategic fields of action were defined for the coming years with the aim of operating responsibly in the long term, conserving environmental resources and strengthening fair partnerships along the supply chain.
In 2022, we were commissioned to communicate the newly developed sustainability strategy and to develop a clear, comprehensible presentation of the various measures. The aim was to structure the complex processes in an understandable way and to create consistent sustainability communication that creates trust both internally and externally and authentically conveys Loacker’s values.
As part of an intensive workshop, we analyzed the key areas of action, goals and measures together with the company. Extensive material was collected, bundled and transferred into a stringent narrative. The focus was on working out the core statements and developing communication approaches that differentiate the company from the competition. After all, sustainability is not just a buzzword at Loacker, but is firmly anchored in the company’s mission statement and shapes its actions at all levels on a daily basis.
A central element of the sustainability strategy is close cooperation with suppliers and the consistent selection of high-quality raw materials. Loacker relies on long-term partnerships, transparency and high quality standards. This commitment is particularly evident in the company’s own hazelnut cultivation in Tuscany, where the company is actively working to promote sustainable cultivation methods and minimize the ecological footprint of production.
The result of our work is an elaborately designed sustainability brochure that not only informs, but also inspires. It tells the story of Loacker’s commitment to sustainability, underpinned by impressive images, concise facts and a clear structure. The brochure shows how deeply sustainability is anchored in the company’s self-image and how Loacker is actively helping to shape a sustainable future – from responsible raw material procurement and resource-saving production processes to innovative packaging solutions.
This brochure not only makes Loacker’s sustainability strategy visible, but also makes it emotionally tangible. It creates trust among customers, business partners and the public and positions Loacker as a responsible company that sees sustainability not as an obligation, but as an opportunity to create long-term value for people and the environment.
