Launch of Weleda sun care

With the Weleda sun protection campaign, the popular Weleda sun protection and sun care products returned to the market in summer 2018 with new, holistic communication. Under the key message “Naturally protected, kissed by the sun”, the focus was placed on the unique combination of natural UV protection and nourishing ingredients.

The campaign focused on a harmonious combination of nature and protection in order to present the gentle but effective formulation of Weleda products in the best possible way. A harmonious visual design, inspiring imagery and targeted communication measures were used to raise awareness of natural sun protection and authentically convey Weleda’s brand values.

The Weleda sun protection campaign not only successfully supported the return of the product line, but also strengthened customer confidence in natural alternatives to conventional sunscreens.

We provided comprehensive support for this comeback of Weleda SUN and created a holistic brand communication that optimally conveys the values of natural sun protection.

For the Weleda sun protection campaign, we developed a coherent packaging design that not only emphasizes the naturalness of the products, but also provides clear orientation for consumers. A harmonious color scheme, modern typography and a high-quality design visually enhanced the product line and strengthened its recognizability within the Weleda range.

In addition to the packaging design, we conceived the overarching campaign, which ensures a consistent brand message across all channels. The communication around “Naturally protected, kissed by the sun” was consistently implemented in print, online and social media in order to address the target group in a targeted manner and inform them about the benefits of natural UV protection.

To support the campaign with expressive content, we also created extensive film and image material. High-quality product and lifestyle shots, emotional moving image elements and appealing social media visuals authentically showcase the Weleda SUN products and convey the essence of natural sun protection in an aesthetic, convincing way.

With this comprehensive brand strategy, the Weleda sun protection campaign was successfully established and awareness of gentle but effective alternatives to conventional sunscreens was sustainably increased.

The result is an internationally usable tool kit for all digital and print applications.
