To coincide with the launch of the impressive Netflix documentary series “Our Planet”, DuMont published the accompanying illustrated book, which captures the beauty of our planet in impressive images. Supplemented by in-depth background information, the book makes it clear that our natural world still has a chance to recover despite massive human intervention – if we act now. With breathtaking photographs and moving facts, the illustrated book raises awareness of the need to protect the environment and invites us to better understand and preserve the fascinating ecosystems of our planet.
In order to communicate this message far and wide, we developed the creative concept for the DuMont social media campaign, which focuses specifically on the illustrated book and transfers the themes of the documentary into the digital space. The aim was to inspire a broad community for the book and its message through emotional storytelling elements, strong visual content and a target group-oriented approach.
In addition to the social media campaign for Facebook and Instagram, we also implemented the concept at the point of sale (PoS). Using eye-catching advertising materials, inspiring content strategies and targeted interaction formats, we ensured that the illustrated book not only achieved a high reach and visibility in bookstores, but also on social media. The campaign used both organic and paid content to appeal to different target groups – from nature and photography enthusiasts to environmental activists – and to convey the core messages of the documentary in a visually and content-wise appealing way.
With the DuMont social media campaign, we have created a platform that raises awareness for the protection of our planet and inspires people to actively support the preservation of nature – online, in bookshops and beyond.
