How can those interested in volunteering apply easily, regardless of location, time and device? Many existing application processes are complex, form-heavy and designed for desktop use. At the same time, much of the information and interaction is now done on mobile devices. Our customer Freunde Waldorf Freiwilligendienst was faced with the challenge of developing a solution that would significantly simplify applications worldwide via smartphone and reduce technical hurdles.
We have translated the application process into logically structured steps and developed clear user guidance. The application guides applicants intuitively through all phases of the application and reduces complexity to the essentials. The structured design not only ensures a better user experience, but also reduces the amount of coordination and programming required during development.
Based on the brand world we developed, we designed a consistent user interface for the digital application. A component-based structure enables efficient customization and clear orientation.
Clickable high-fidelity prototypes made it possible to realistically experience the application at an early stage. This meant that functions, processes and user guidance could be tested before development and quickly agreed with the customer. This ensures faster decision-making processes, fewer correction loops and an overall more efficient implementation.
