We conceived and designed the McDonald’s Sustainability Report 2019 for the third time. This year it was shorter. The report has been given a new format for even greater clarity. What’s more, the paper was made from recycled McDonald’s paper cups.
Despite the circumstances, the sustainability topics of the “What’s important to us” campaign are also the focus at McDonald’s in the coronavirus year. To this end, we have focused on the key aspects of the campaign. For example, the environmentally friendly redesign of the dessert packaging and the Happy Meal. For the eight-page folded flyer, we provide transparency with figures and infographics on the topics of regionality of raw materials, animal welfare measures and climate-friendly packaging. On the back, we show selected franchise partners and how they are promoting McDonald’s sustainability issues individually and regionally. We have also integrated the McDonald’s podcast campaign with QR code as an invitation for the reader. You can hear more about the future of packaging directly online.
