As a unique print newsletter for the city of Ravensburg, we developed and designed the climate messenger of the city of Ravensburg – an informative medium that is published specifically for the Christmas season. Inspired by the city’s existing climate campaign, the Klimabote provides information on current sustainability issues and offers citizens practical tips for an environmentally conscious everyday life.
The focus is on the diverse climate protection measures of the city of Ravensburg. The newsletter shows what is already on offer, how citizens can get involved and what developments are planned in the areas of environmental and climate protection. Sustainable action plays a particularly important role at Christmas time – which is why the Klimabote offers valuable consumer tips on environmentally friendly gifts, energy-saving measures and resource-conserving consumption.
The Climate Messenger also contains exciting links, including to inspiring podcasts and informative websites that open up new perspectives on the topic of sustainability. The newsletter is not only thought-provoking, but also provides readers with concrete tools to make climate-friendly decisions in their everyday lives.
With this initiative, the city of Ravensburg is creating an awareness-raising platform that makes climate protection tangible and strengthens the dialog between the city and its citizens.
The climate messenger of the city of Ravensburg should also have a practical use after reading. The reverse side was therefore designed as Christmas wrapping paper – a sustainable idea for reuse.
The newsletter was printed on environmentally friendly recycled paper, certified with the Blue Angel. In addition, the CO₂ emissions generated during the printing process were fully offset in order to keep the ecological footprint as small as possible.
In December 2022, the climate messenger of the city of Ravensburg was distributed to 23,000 households, reaching numerous citizens with important information on climate protection and sustainable action.
